PRIM. DR. EMIR BARAKOVIĆ

specialist in general, plastic and reconstructive surgery

Over 36 years of practice, 26 of that spent as a specialist of general surgery and 10 years as specialist of plastic and reconstructive surgery

Currently a surgeon in General Hospital „prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš“ Sarajevo

President and a member of Board of Directors of General Hospital in two terms; Chief of Operation Block for five years; member of multiple Hospital Committees; member of Doctor Chamber of Canton Sarajevo, member of Board of Directors of Doctor Chamber of Canton Sarajevo; member of Surgeon Guild of Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina; President of Health Committee of Canton Sarajevo General Assembly (2006-2010); member of Commission for Implementation of Health Development Strategy (2006-2015) formed by the Ministry of Health of Canton Sarajevo; member of work group formed by Canton Sarajevo Government for development of Strategy for rationalization and an efficient organization of Clinical Center of University of Sarajevo.

As a member of Canton Sarajevo General Assembly Delegation, I participated in establishing, developing and improving regional cooperation in combating health issues in various cities such as: Barcelona, Vienna, Istanbul, Izmir, Varaždin, Brisel and others. Constantly expanding knowledge through various conferences, seminars and symposiums. Author and co-author of many studies, essays and research papers in the fields of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
